The preparation is a dietary food for special medical purposes for pregnant women, children and adults; contains a well-absorbed form of iron and folic acid.
The preparation contains ingredients that support hematopoietic processes: well-absorbed form of iron (iron III pyrophosphate) and folic acid. Iron is a microelement necessary for the proper development and functioning of the body. As a component of the heme molecule, it is an essential structural element of hemoglobin, a protein responsible for transporting oxygen to all tissues and organs. Iron also participates in many metabolic changes. Iron deficiencies have a negative impact on children's development and may lead to the development of iron deficiency anemia (affects every age group). The causes of symptomatic iron deficiency may be different, most often deficiencies are caused by low iron content in the diet, disturbances of iron absorption in the gastrointestinal tract or blood loss. The absorption of iron depends on many factors, including the type of chemical compound in which the iron occurs, other components of our diet (eg vitamin C increases the absorption of iron and the tannins contained in coffee or tea reduce them) and individual differences. The product contains a well absorbed form of iron - iron III pyrophosphate - micronized. Micronisation (fragmentation) increases the absorption of iron. In addition, the preparation contains folic acid. Folic acid and folate are necessary for the course of the process of cell division, including divisions occurring in the hematopoietic system.
The preparation is intended for pregnant women, children and adults for use in dietary management:
• to ensure the correct supply of iron
• in iron deficiency and anemia states (anemia).
The product has a positive opinion of the Institute of Mother and Child.

The occurrence of iron deficiency is particularly exposed to:
• infants born prematurely
• infants with low birth weight
• infants with multiple pregnancy
• infants born at the time when iron deficiency occurred in mothers during pregnancy
• infants and children with impaired digestion and absorption
• infants and children after long-term illness
• infants after six months of age and children during intensive growth
• children and adolescents during puberty
• women during childbearing
• elderly people with malabsorption disorders.
Iron deficiencies may require supplementation, since the use of only a diet with a high iron content may be insufficient.
The iron contained in the preparation is released in the intestines, not in the stomach, so that it does not cause any discomfort from the gastrointestinal tract (such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting). It does not stain teeth and does not cause a metallic aftertaste.
