What is Aviomarin?

What does Aviomarin contain and how does it work?

The active substance is dimenhydrinate (another name is dimenhydramine). It is an anti-emetic, antihistamine (reduces the effect of histamine) and cholinolytic (blocks muscarinic receptors for acetylcholine). Used anti-emetic and against nausea, especially in motion sickness. It penetrates the blood-brain barrier, has a strong inhibitory effect on the emetic center in the medulla and labyrinth reflexes. The antiemetic action is intensified by the cholinolytic properties. The product reduces the tone of smooth muscles, reduces gastrointestinal motility and reduces the secretion of saliva.
Dimenhydrin is well absorbed after oral administration. The onset of action occurs after about 30 minutes, the effect persists for 3-6 hours. Metabolized in the liver. Fully excreted through the kidneys within 24 hours after a single dose.
