What is Atrederm?
A drug that contains a topical Retinol

What does Atrederm contain and how does it work?
The active substance is tretinoin, a derivative of retinol. The mechanism of its action consists in causing changes in the metabolism of keratinous epithelial cell
s. Their proliferative activity increases (faster cell proliferation) and cellular differentiation (keratinization and keratosis). Thanks to this, the topical preparation inhibits epidermal keratosis, exfoliates strongly on Corn
ified epidermis and prevents the formation of blackheads. The vitamin E contained in the preparation plays an auxiliary role in protection against the action of free radicals and lipid peroxides.
When should I use Atrederm?
The product is indicated for the treatment of acne vulgaris, especially its papule, pustular and comedic forms, as well as concentrated acne, orchard and keloid acne.
When not to use this preparation?
Unfortunately, even if there are indications to use the preparation, it can not always be used. You can not use the preparation if you are allergic (you are hypersensitive) to any of the ingredients.
Contraindications to the use of the preparation are also:

In particularly sensitive people, the use of the preparation may cause erythema, swelling, itching, burning or stinging, formation of bubbles, scabs, and / or exfoliation at the application site. In the event of their occurrence, please contact your doctor who will decide on further treatment.
Avoid exposure to UV radiation (sunlight, quartz lamps, solariums) when using the product; if this is not possible, use protective preparations with a high UV filter and clothing covering the application sites.

Can I use Atrederm during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
During pregnancy, do not use any medicine without consulting your doctor!
It is very important that before using any medicine during pregnancy or breastfeeding, consult a physician and explain beyond any doubt the potential risks and benefits associated with the use of the drug. If you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, please inform the doctor prescribing the prescription for this medicine.
Do not use during pregnancy, it is not recommended during breastfeeding due to lack of tests.
Can I use other preparations in parallel?
Tell your doctor about all medicines you have recently taken, including those that are over the counter.
Do not use skin irritants or exfoliants (salicylic acid, resorcinol, sulfur preparations) or irradiate the skin with a quartz lamp, as the risk of local inflammation increases.
After long-term use of exfoliating agents it is recommended to stop using them before starting treatment with the preparation. If the preparation and exfoliants are applied to alternate sites alternately, contact dermatitis may occur; your doctor will probably recommend reducing the frequency of their use.
What side effects can occur?
Like all medicines, Atrederm can cause side effects, although they will not occur in all patients who use this medicine. Remember that the expected benefits of using the drug are usually greater than the damage resulting from the occurrence of side effects.
Skin irritation may occur (erythema, dry skin, excessive skin exfoliation, burning sensation, pricking and itching, rash, periodic changes in skin color). These symptoms most often occur at the beginning of treatment, then their intensity and frequency decreases (except for dryness and flaking of the skin).
There is rare occurrence of bubbles and scabs, eye irritation and swelling, as well as contact allergy.
Hypersensitivity to UV radiation may occur during treatment.
