The preparation works on Gram-positive, Gram-negative bacteria and on anaerobic bacteria. Thanks to the selective coagulation and elimination of dead and diseased cells, the epithelium is renewed and recovered. The flat epithelium is resistant to polykrezulen.
In the case of cylindrical epithelial cells, the cell nucleus and the cytoplasm swell for a few seconds after contact with polycresulant, which leads to cell exfoliation.
